We are each Each Other; We are each of us One.

We are each Each Other; We are each of us One. A poem about unity and Oneness by Julia Greef.

I am in You and

You are in Me, each of us

expressions of the

Vast Infinite Consciousness

that suffuses – that Is – All.

The Moon and Venus, January 2, 2017.

A tanka about the beauty of the night sky and the alignment of the waxing moon and Venus.

Bright crescent moon and

Venus ablaze in the sky

emanating light

as dusk gravitates towards

night. A new era is born.

At Twilight in Winter

Sheen of lustrous moon

in a pale blue winter sky.

Twilight lingers as

dusk surrenders to blanket

of white. World steeped in stillness.

Jan 1, 2016

This tanka I composed while walking my dog around midnight on January 1st seems like a beautiful promise of things to come in 2016.

I’d like to share it here, and also take this opportunity to wish you all a year in which light glimmers even in the darkest shadows and you revel in an abundance of such magical moments.

Jan 1, 2016 tanka

Under the light of

half moon and stars in the deep

chill of winter night,

frost-studded grass glimmers like

quartz – transforms, transmutes, transcends.

Litanies of lack

and limitation stifle,

stunt self-expression.

I choose to honor life, love –

allow my soul’s unfurling.

In This Moment

Just as my worry

rises, threatens to consume…

four sparrows – darting

back and forth, bending boughs at

dusk – remind me all is well.
